ONLINE PROJECTS
On this page, you can find a selection of my favorite digital and social projects over the years, including project management at The National, social strategy at the San Francisco Chronicle and more. My greatest passion is creating online content that is accessible, innovative, smart, approachable and easy to consume.

EVERGREEN LIBRARY
San Francisco Chronicle
I curated the Chronicle's list of "evergreen" stories and related social assets for frequent resharing on social platforms. Using post optimization tools, these stories — though not new — would often be some of our strongest social contenders of the week.

LIVE SPORTING EVENT COVERAGE
World Flying Disc Federation
As the Director of Global Media and Communications, I cover world championship Ultimate Frisbee events, including daily recaps, live social media coverage, live-streaming with commentary, graphics, scores and more.
ONLINE PACKAGING:Â THE POP STAR WHO FOUND A NEW STAGE
San Francisco Chronicle
As digital producer at the Chronicle, I was tasked with critically assessing every piece of journalism that appeared on our website and determining what packaging and promotion would ensure it would be seen. Often, creating an eye-catching layout with available digital assets, like photos and video, was enough to push a great story over the top.
ARABIC LANGUAGE DAY
The National
One of my all-time favorite projects was project managing a feature series for Arabic Language Day. The series included a video highlighting different dialects, social graphics that explored Arabic etymology, a webpage with the Arabic alphabet and a pronunciation key — packaged together with features and news from around the region.

The video here was the result of collaboration across the digital, multimedia and editorial teams and was a huge success on social media.
SOCIAL GRAPHICS PROJECT
The National
At The National, I started a series of infographics designed for social that supplemented online and in print packages. The social graphics were graphics made into a slideshow that were then shared on Facebook or Instagram and added value to the stunning journalism created by the rest of the newsroom.
RACE TO DUBAI
The National
When Rotana launched a flight between Abu Dhabi and Dubai, the team at The National decided to test what mode of transit between the cities was fastest. The Race to Burj was on!

I was responsible for posting live social content from the car and relaying it back to the newsroom. We created a live blog of videos, commentary, photos and smack talk that readers could follow along with on Twitter, Instagram and our website.
